Grace Talks Mens Hair
Grace is serious when it comes Men’s Hair. She has been training hard with the experts at American Crew & Aveda, ensuring her barbering skills are the best in town! What’s on trend for Men's Hair ?
We are seeing 3 major looks for men in 2014:
Slicked Back - Which looks great with a tight fade or undercut. Think Beckham, he pushes his hair back with pomade creating a high shine, giving him a really clean look. It’s all about looking clean, classic and fresh.
Pompadour - This is when the hair is pretty high on top, it’s a heavy fringe. Think Elvis meets Justin Timberlake! To create this looks you don’t want the sides too short, you want a longer feel to the haircut. You can wear it structured and clean or messy for more of a dramatic look, but always off the face!
Side Parting - Think Mad Men! Ideally you need more length on top to create a neat side part, or even shave a parting line in the head. I'm seeing this look alot on the streets incorporated a lot with fades and undercuts. It works best when combed into place with a gel or pomade providing a high shine.
What Aveda products are giving you the best styling results?
I love the entire Aveda Mens range, it smells amazing with organic ginger and tea tree oils. I would say my favourite is the Pure Formance Grooming Clay for texture and strong hold.
