“Washing the hair with really hot water opens the hair cuticle, something we really want to avoid! Instead, wash with lukewarm water, and then finish off with a cool rinse. This will help to seal the cuticle, keeping the hair looking shiny and preparing it for a nice smooth blowdry.

These irons heat up to 220 degrees - that’s intense heat and stress on the hair - so without applying the correct protecting preparation to the hair, you could do some serious damage, especially to those ends.”
