Does Your Hair Need A Post-COVID Make-Over?

We all know COVID lockdown was tough, but you can now enjoy your salon visits for some well deserved ME time and get a much-needed hair overhaul. There are lots of hair issues that may have popped up for you during COVID; here is how we are approaching the colour corrections to give you the best hair possible.

Big Regrowth

This is a problem for almost everyone! If you’re a solid blonde colour you may need some extra highlights to break up the band of regrowth and create a softer look. You may also need more colour applied than usual to cover the extra hair, we will advise what your needs during the salon visit.

Grey Coverage

There has never been a more relevant time to embrace your grey. You can take advantage of your roots and start to include some of your natural silver sparkles into your hair colour strategy. This might be growing out your existing colour to achieve a full head of your natural white or it might be to give you a more blended result where the regrowth is less obvious. Some clients have embraced their natural white on the hairline as a colour feature but decided to break up the grey with a few highlights. Incorporating some highlights is a great option if you want to embrace a more natural look without a stark band of white.

Brassy Blondes

This can be easily amended with a touch up of balayage or highlights. The key part of getting the right tone of blonde is to invest in the correct home hair care regime. Your Salon Yazbek colourist will prescribe the best blonde products that work with your colour formula and hair texture to maintain the integrity between salon visits.

Faded Brunettes, Coppers and Reds

These colours are the most prone to fading and may require some extra love during your salon visit. We can increase the vibrancy or depth of your colour to create better longevity or intensity. Reds and coppers need a colour care plan and at-home haircare regime to maintain the colour between colour appointments.

Fixing Home Hair touch-ups

YIKES! There are a few corrections to do here. If you have applied a box tint or colour you may not have matched the depth or tone exactly. This may result in a colour band that grows down the hair shaft. We can correct this however your colour process may take a little longer. The same goes for colour that has been overlapped during the application. This creates a dark band that needs to be removed. It is best to book an appointment to come in for a colour consultation so we can assess the current state of your hair and book a future appointment accordingly.
