INTRODUCING….MAKE ME OVER!
Who doesn’t love a makeover? At SALON YAZBEK we totally do! In fact, we can’t think of anything that makes our jobs more satisfying than making our clients look and feel beautiful. So we’ve decided to start sharing with you all some of the fab makeover work we’ve done on our wonderful clients recently. They might come to us in tears…but the only crying you’ll see at the end of a visit to SALON YAZBEK are tears of joy!

Leanne walked in one afternoon almost in tears. The week prior to visiting us she had four visits to another salon, where she’d asked for a ‘summer balayage’ look. Unfortunately what transpired were brassy roots and over processed ends. Her hair was feeling and looking terrible…as was poor Leanne!
So we took her under our wing and gave her a SALON YAZBEK makeover.
Head honcho and chief cutter Nathan decided on a shorter, collarbone length LOB (long bob) for Leanne, inspired by gorgeous British actress Felicity Jones. “I wanted to encourage Leanne to wear her hair out more, as she admitted to just tying it back all the time because it was too long,” Nathan says. “I designed a fuller side fringe to balance her oval face shape, which perfectly accentuates her great cheekbones. Her new length and shape is beautiful and practical. I think it makes her look more sophisticated and certainly more sassy!”
Uber colourist Sue was in charge of transforming Leanne’s colour, creating a reverse balayage by applying a darker chocolate brown to the roots and melting it through to the ends to add definition and depth. “The rich hazelnut tones complement Leanne’s skin tone and makes her hazel eyes pop,” Sue enthuses. “Now her colour will grow out seamlessly. Plus the Aveda Botanical Therapy treatment we applied helped repair her damaged hair, giving it a shinier, softer texure"
A quick finishing touch of makeup enhanced Leanne’s beautiful new cut and colour. Kristin focused on the cheeks, eyes and lips…but her favourite secret weapon was Aveda’s Cacao Eye Definer to strengthen Leanne’s eyebrows. “It’s all about the brows this season,” Kristin reveals.
Leanne was beside herself with her new look – and so were we! Mission accomplished! There were hugs all round…and we just know Leanne would have spent the whole weekend telling all her girlfriends about her makeover.
And so she should – you look amazing Leanne! Don’t you agree?
